Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan recently bought Strancally Castle in County Waterford, a sprawling 440 acre castle estate in Ireland that the couple will use as a home during their visits to the country, where Meta has its international headquarters. While the price of the private deal has not been disclosed, the Irish Times estimated the property’s value at between €20 million and €30 million.The castle, which was built in 1830 for John Keily, a former Conservative Member of Parliament, is not Meta CEO’s first purchase. His property portfolio already includes a survivalist-style, or ‘Doomsday’, bunker in Hawaii and a waterfront home in Miami. Here’s a look at everything else Zuckerberg owns.
Mark Zuckerberg’s residential compound in Palo Alto
Zuckerberg owns multiple properties in Silicon Valley. He holds five homes clustered together in Palo Alto’s Crescent Park neighbourhood, with a combined assessed value exceeding $36.2 million according to tax records. In 2016, he offered a rare glimpse inside one of these homes, which reportedly even features a custom-built AI assistant, according to CNBC. The property sits just a 10-minute drive from Meta’s headquarters in Menlo Park.Zuckerberg purchased his first home in Crescent Park back in May 2011 for $7 million. He later spent more than $43 million buying up the four homes surrounding this original property, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Meta CEO owns two lakefront estates at Lake Tahoe
Around 2019, Zuckerberg bought two adjoining properties along the shore of Lake Tahoe, a favourite getaway spot for wealthy Californians during both summer and winter. Known as Carousel Estate and Brushwood Estate, tax records for both properties list the same address associated with other Zuckerberg-linked properties.He reportedly paid a combined $59 million for the two estates. Brushwood Estate spans 5,322 square feet and includes six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms, according to a report by SF Gate. There is also a separate 2,293-square-foot guesthouse. Tax records value Brushwood Estate at over $39.68 million.
Mark Zuckerberg has more than 1,200 acres of land in Hawaii
Zuckerberg’s most extensive real estate holding is in Hawaii, where he has steadily acquired land on the island of Kauai since 2014. While the exact current acreage remains unclear, tracking has identified at least 1,200 acres spread across 17 separate land parcels.Of this total, around 750 acres were reportedly bought in 2014 for approximately $100 million, including more than 350 acres along Pila’a Beach. A separate portion of his Hawaii holdings, spanning nearly 600 acres on Kauai’s North Shore, reportedly cost him around $53 million when purchased in 2021. According to Wired, the combined cost of acquiring the land and building this compound comes to an estimated $270 million.
Meta CEO’s mansion in Washington, DC
In March 2025, Zuckerberg reportedly purchased a 15,000-square-foot mansion in Washington, DC, according to Politico. The home is said to be located in the Massachusetts Avenue Heights neighbourhood, close to the Naval Observatory and the Washington National Cathedral.

Mark Zuckerberg owns a waterfront home in Miami
As per The Wall Street Journal, Zuckerberg is also adding a second East Coast property to his collection, this time a waterfront mansion on Indian Creek, an exclusive island community in South Florida that counts Jeff Bezos, Carl Icahn, and Jared Kushner among its residents.
Zuckerberg sold a San Francisco townhouse
In 2022, Zuckerberg sold off a townhouse in San Francisco for a reported $31 million. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits near Dolores Park on a 9,800-square-foot lot, with the original structure dating back to 1928. He and Chan had reportedly bought the property back in 2010 for around $10 million.
