Bihar STET 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 notification under Advertisement No. PR. 183/2026. The eligibility examination will be held for Paper-I for secondary classes and Paper-II for higher secondary classes. The notification was issued on August 14, 2026, while online applications will remain open from August 17 to August 31, 2026.Bihar STET is an eligibility examination rather than a direct recruitment test. Therefore, the notification does not specify a fixed number of teacher vacancies. Candidates must check the subject-wise educational qualifications, age conditions, category rules and document requirements before submitting their applications.Bihar STET 2026 application datesThe application window will operate from the afternoon of August 17, 2026, until August 31, 2026. Candidates must complete registration, verify their mobile number through OTP, fill in personal and educational details, upload documents and pay the applicable examination fee online.The age limit is 21 to 42 years, calculated as on August 1, 2026. Age relaxation will apply according to the prescribed rules.Application fee and eligibilityCandidates from the UR, EWS, BC and EBC categories must pay Rs 960 for one paper and Rs 1,440 for both papers. Paper-II generally requires postgraduation with B.Ed. or an equivalent qualification. Requirements vary across Mathematics, Science, Social Science, languages, Computer Science, Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts and other subjects.Bihar STET 2026 exam patternBoth papers will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Each paper will contain 150 objective questions carrying 150 marks, with 100 marks for specified subject matter and 50 marks for Teaching Arts and Other Competencies. The duration will be 150 minutes, with no negative marking.The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General candidates, 45.5% for BC, 42.5% for EBC, and 40% for SC, ST, PWD and female candidates.Normalization and application processScores may be normalized if examinations are conducted in multiple shifts or on different dates. The normalized score, rather than the raw score, will determine qualification. Candidates should upload the prescribed photograph, signature and applicable educational, caste and domicile certificates before previewing and submitting the form.After final submission, candidates should download and retain the completed application. Corrections may not be accepted after the prescribed correction stage.
