BSF HCM ASI Admit Card 2026: The Computer-Based Written Examination for the recruitment of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Stenographer and Head Constable (Ministerial) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) has entered its examination phase. A shift scheduled for September 2, 2026, at the iDZ Sitapura centre in Jaipur has been cancelled because of technical issues.The affected candidates will now appear for the examination on September 18, 2026. A fresh admit card will be issued for the rescheduled shift, and candidates concerned will need to download the new hall ticket before appearing for the examination.Revised exam date and answer key timelineThe computer-based examination commenced from September 1, 2026. The September 18 examination is exclusively for candidates whose September 2 Shift 3 session at the iDZ Sitapura centre was cancelled.After all examination slots are completed, the BSF Recruitment Portal is expected to release the provisional response sheets and answer keys. Candidates will be able to check their recorded responses and raise objections against the provisional key within the prescribed period.The CBT results and written cut-off scores will be declared after the objection process and evaluation are completed. The provisional answer key and results are expected during October and November 2026.Skill tests for shortlisted candidatesCandidates who qualify the written CBT will move to the practical skill-testing stage. For Head Constable (Ministerial), candidates must complete a computer-based typing test within 10 minutes. The required speed is 35 words per minute (wpm) in English or 30 wpm in Hindi.Candidates applying for ASI Stenographer will undergo a shorthand dictation test at 80 wpm for 10 minutes. This will be followed by computer-based transcription, with 50 minutes allowed for English and 65 minutes for Hindi.Document verification and medical examinationCandidates progressing through the skill stage will undergo Document Verification (DV), during which original educational certificates, category documents and identity proofs will be checked.A Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will also be conducted by a Central Armed Police Force medical board to assess candidates’ physical and medical fitness for appointment.1,526 vacancies across CAPFsThe recruitment drive has 1,526 vacancies across the participating forces. The Border Security Force (BSF) has 319 posts, including 17 ASI and 302 Head Constable vacancies. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has 303 posts, including 21 ASI and 282 Head Constable vacancies.The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has 642 posts, comprising 146 ASI and 496 Head Constable vacancies. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has 219 posts, including 56 ASI and 163 Head Constable vacancies. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has 8 Head Constable posts, while the Assam Rifles (AR) has 35 Head Constable vacancies.The remaining selection stages are expected to proceed after completion of the CBT and declaration of the written results.
