RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 exam 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have announced the date for the RRB NTPC Undergraduate (UG) CBT 2 examination under CEN 07/2025. The second-stage computer-based test is scheduled for September 17, 2026, following the declaration of the CBT 1 results and scorecards.The official notice confirming the CBT 2 schedule was released on August 24, 2026. The RRBs subsequently activated individual candidate scorecards and marks login links on August 26, 2026. The recruitment drive covers 3,058 undergraduate-level vacancies.RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 key datesCandidates shortlisted for CBT 2 will be able to download the examination city intimation slip and SC/ST travel pass from September 7, 2026. The CBT 2 E-Call Letter will become available from September 13, four days before the examination.

45,898 candidates shortlisted for CBT 2According to the recruitment data, 63,27,474 candidates registered for the undergraduate-level posts. Of these, 45,898 candidates have been shortlisted for CBT 2, which is 15 times the total number of vacancies.The 3,058 vacancies are spread across posts including Commercial Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Junior Clerk and Trains Clerk. Based on the registered applicant pool, the CBT 2 shortlist represents approximately 0.72% of the initial candidates, or around one shortlisted candidate for every 138 registrations.CBT 2 exam pattern and marking schemeThe CBT 2 examination will contain 120 objective questions carrying 120 marks. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the test. General Awareness will carry 50 marks, while Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning will carry 35 marks each.A negative marking provision will apply, with one-third of a mark deducted for every incorrect answer.Aadhaar verification mandatoryCandidates must carry their Registration Number and Date of Birth details as required for accessing examination-related documents. Aadhaar-linked biometric verification will also be conducted at the examination centre.Candidates have been advised to ensure that their Aadhaar biometric lock is disabled before reaching the examination venue to complete the verification process.The next stage of the recruitment process is tentatively scheduled to begin with the Typing Skill Test or Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) from December 4, 2026, depending on the post and applicable selection requirements.
